Ni som följer nyhetsflödet på automotorsport.se minns nog att vi förra fredagen (25 januari) skrev om en incident i USA där en spionfotograf blev attackerad av Volvos testingenjör. Upprinnelsen till ilskan känner vi inte till men kameran blev skadad och fotografen Williams fick några blåmärken.
När vi publicerade filmklippet från YouTube blev det en het diskussion bland er läsare huruvida det är rätt eller ej att hoppa på en spionfotograf. Men Volvo-chefen Bodil Eriksson anser beteendet som helt oacceptabelt och ber fotografen om ursäkt (se rutan nedtill). Bodil Eriksson ber också fotografen att precisera sina skador på fotoutrustningen så att Volvo kan ersätta honom.
Notera för övrigt att Bodil Eriksson benämner personen i filmen som testingenjör och ingenting annat. En del läsare uttryckte tveksamhet över vad föraren av Volvobilen egentligen hade för uppgift.
Williams accepterar ursäkten och kräver ingen ersättning, tvärtom säger bjuder han testingenjören att ta en varmkorv ihop nästa gång de ses (i tjänsten, antar vi). Källa: Jalopnik.com.

Dear Mr Williams,
The recent post on the Jalopnik website has been brought to my attention and I wanted to write to sincerely apologise for your experiences. The behaviour of our test engineer in this case is clearly unacceptable and indefensible and we are, of course, trying to get to the bottom of why he reacted in the way he did when you legitimately and lawfully filmed the car he was driving.
Please accept my apologies on behalf of Volvo Cars and if, as a result of the incident, any of your equipment has been damaged, we will of course be happy to pay for replacement items. If this is the case, I would ask you to liaise with our Vice President of Corporate Communication in Volvo Cars North America, Geno Effler who I know you have already had contact with and who I am copying on this email to make sure you have his e-mail, should you need it.
